Fresh on the newswire friday was quite the printing/political scandal.
George Gallo, Connecticuts State House Republicans’ chief of staff, resigned on thursday as federal investigators are looking into whether GOP legislative candidates were improperly directed to use a direct mail and printing company based in Florida.
The company in Florida, Direct Mail Systems, allegedly took in more than 2 million from CT political candidates since 2008.
“Quoting state financing campaign records, the newspaper reported that “scores” of Republican candidates—primarily for the state House of Representatives—used Direct Mail Systems to the tune of about $2 million in work during the past six years.”
Gallo, who was the main pusher of the work to Florida, stepped down from his role in the State House to avoid any “distractions to the caucus”.
An Additional MEGA bummer to one florida based printer who just lost a decent client out of the northeast : )
Happy Monday Print Folks!
