First and foremost Happy Earth Day to everyone!
Now let’s get into my second topic which is ironically, print those emails. I know everyone tells you that you should think before printing and that PRINTING IS NOT GREEN. Well honestly don’t listen to those people. Why you ask? Well paper is biodegradable and we can recycle paper easier than we can recycle a computer or its parts. Also if you didn’t know paper is a renewable resource that can be planted, harvested and replanted.
So instead of following everyone else and inserting “Please consider the environment before printing” on the bottom of your email signature, why not try the following.
Notice: It’s OK to print this email free of any “eco-guilt.” Paper is a biodegradable, renewable, sustainable product made from trees. Growing and harvesting trees provides jobs for millions of Americans. Working forests are good for the environment and provide clean air and water, wildlife habitat and carbon storage. Thanks to improved forest management, we have more trees in America today than we had 100 years ago.
Maybe we should give the computers a rest today and try writing on some paper instead. Just a GREEN thought!
