Ink on ANY substrate

This short week we are going to focus on “Ink on any substrate”.  The printing industry has come a long way in the past 100 years or so.  Ink is not just for paper anymore.  WIth the advancements in sheetfed technology, and in large format, we can lay down ink on smooth surfaces, rough surfaces, papers, plastics, and even food.

A quick week preview –

Tomorrow’s Post will feature – PIXIWOOD.com – a look inside digitial printing on wood panels.  The wood grain ensures each print is its own unique piece of art!

and then Wednesday we will follow up with an oldie but goodie – Spatial printing.   Unicorn Graphics showcased their passion for printing on any substrate almost 2 years ago now at Globalshop 2013.  This is sure to get your creative juices flowing!

(yes, those are paintbrushes)

and then on Thursday, we will top it all off with a deep look into HydroGraphics.  Using water/liquid emulsion to apply graphics.  Even sounds interesting right?!

Do you have any experience with “Ink on ANY substrate” you would like to share?  We’d love to hear about it this week!
